Whether it’s a surface of snow, ice, grass or mud, the hottest 2007 stock and mod snowmobiles will show what they got at the Snow Week/Dyno Tech Research Adirondack Shootout.
The event will take place on Friday, December 8, in Woodgate, N.Y., at the White Otter Fish & Gun Club.
The machines in focus this year ar the popular 600cc class and the powerful big bores. There will be a special class for heart-thumping mod machines created by performance shops.
The stock class machines arrive to the Shootout in the crate in from randomly selected area dealers. They are set up and run down the strip as box-stock units. Participating dealers then have an hour set them up using their own tricks to see which dealer can give the most pep through simple setup and calibration changes.
The dealers doing the setups are Big Moose Yamaha/Arctic Cat, Old Forge Powersports and White Lake Polaris/Victory/Yamaha.
The stock machines scheduled to run this year are the: Arctic Cat F6 EFI Sno Pro, Arctic Cat F1000 Sno Pro, Polaris 600 HO CFI IQ, Ski-Doo MX Z 600 Ho SDI Adrenaline, Ski-Doo Mach Z Adrenaline, Yamaha Nytro and Yamaha RTX ER.
Performance shops participating with their own specially prepped machines include D&D Performance and Bikeman Performance. Most performance shop mod machines will be trail-oriented and run on pump gas. However, expect to see some full monster mods come out of the trailers.
The gates open at 9. Coverage of the event will appear on snowgoer.com, SnowWeek.com and in the print publications Snow Goer and Snow Week.
