Believe it or not, we are on the cusp of another snowmobile snocross season already! First proof of that is the planned Friday, November 10, official opening of the Klim Compound at the Scheuring Speed Sports site up in Aurora, Minnesota.
That training and testing facility is just one of the many impacts that team owner Steve Scheuring has had on the sport of snowmobiling. The personable former oval racer launched his Scheuring Speed Sports team in the late 1990s and has spent more than 25 years raising the bar on the sport of snowmobile racing.
Scheuring also has very insightful opinions on the sport itself. With that in mind, we sat down for an extended discussion with him this fall. From what’s involved in running a national snocross team to what he looks for in up-and-coming racers, Scheuring shares his thoughts on a number of topics.
