Nice to see Jag and El Tigre names back and improved rear 149è suspension. Why not improve all suspensions lengths?
Why no 700 cc two stroke to replace the 600? Remember the famous F7 in 2003 with 140 hp!
Why no 900 to replace the 858? Remember the ZR 900 with 150 hp!
Why no four stroke in Catalyst?
I’m willing to bet the big 2026 Haydays news for Cat will a showing of their 858 turbo and a look at the coming 4 stroke.
Just my thoughts. Great to see modest improvements in both 600 and 858.
W
Because they have only been in charge for 10 months? They do not need a 900 as the 858 has been proven this year to be faster than the 9R. There will be a new engine next year, probably a 656 or something in that range. 4 stroke in a Catalyst? Patience grasshopper. Takes time.
I think the advancements they made this are great. Love that the Jag is back. A Jag was my first new sled. I think we still need to give them time. You can’t flip a switch and come up with all new engines and other technology overnight. It will come in time. I know we are all impatient.
I sure find myself very impressed with the NEW Cat and their return. I was worried if they would make the comeback perhaps underfunded or in a very slow return. I don’t see that at all. Just the opposite really. I like to see some of the old models returning. Although I have not had a taste of it yet, I really like the expansion of power steering. I hope to drive one soon.
Keep up the great work and very glad to have you back and the whole sport REALLY needed you to be successful and sure looks good so far.
Great going back to traditional names: Jag better than Blast, Pantera, El Tigre, Bear Cat, EXT, XF (vs CrossFire),. Should bring back Mountain Cat name as well as engine size eg Mountain Cat M8,
I know Textron did little development but at least they did Catalyst chassis and 858 engine in last 2 years or so all Cat has done now is EPS (which they had before) and tipped up rails which they call elevated rear wheel. So not really a great start nor what that everyone wanted.
