Arctic Cat Commits to Matching Up to $1000

“It’s time for fans and people in the industry to step up and help Blair, someone who has done so much for the sport of snocross,” Tucker Hibbert.

Goodridge, Minn. (Jan. 8, 2009) – Tucker Hibbert will be wearing a very special helmet Saturday at the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series (ACSS) Air Force National in Shakopee, Minn. It’s a helmet in honor of his long-time competitor and friend, Blair Morgan. This is a one-of-a-kind helmet that you have the opportunity to own. Starting at 12 p.m. EST Jan. 8 people can bid on Hibbert’s 7c helmet on eBay. The auction ends 12 p.m. EST Tuesday January 13. Live bids are possible at the Air Force National Jan. 9-10 at the Operation Inspiration 7c booth at Canterbury Park during the ISOC snocross. Arctic Cat, who was a long-time sponsor of Morgan, has committed to matching up to $1000. Also, Shock Doctor is donating one of Hibbert’s custom helmet bags and a Power Dry Blower to the highest bidder.

Last September, Morgan sustained a career ending injury at the Montreal Supercross. Simply stated, Morgan is a motocross and snocross legend. He transformed the sport of snocross and to this day holds the most career national wins. Some the greatest battles in the history of snocross were between Morgan and Hibbert. They pushed each other in ways that may never be seen on the track again. On the track they were tough competitors but at the end of the day they were close friends and shared a mutual respect for one another.

All proceeds of the auction will go directly to Blair Morgan. Morgan is donating a portion of his funds to “Shoot for Cure,” an organization he has been involved in for many years that is dedicated to spinal cord research.

“It means a lot to me to support Blair after so many years of great racing and friendship,” said Tucker Hibbert. “It’s been hard not having him at the races. It’s a huge hit for the sport and I truly miss him on and off the track. I’m excited and honored to have an opportunity to give back to him and support him in his recovery. It’s time for fans and people in the industry to step up and help Blair, someone who has done so much for the sport of snocross.”
