Kamm Back on Top as Cole Sweeps Pro Lite in Eagle River Finale

Eagle River, Wis. ~ With just four rounds remaining in the Amsoil  Championship Snocross season, every race carries extra weight, especially in the Pro classes, where the title battles are heating up. While the frontrunners have remained steady all season, Friday night at the Hayes Brakes Snocross National shook things up as both the Pro and Pro Lite classes crowned first-time winners, proving that anything can happen in the final stretch. With points at a premium, every holeshot, every pass, and every clean lap becomes crucial in the chase for the championship.

Saturday’s racing at Eagle River put even more emphasis on strong starts and mistake-free riding, as the tight, technical track left little room for error. Riders needed to keep the track side down to avoid disaster, and with time running out in the season, there was no margin for missteps. The battle lines were drawn as contenders looked to capitalize on momentum, while others fought to stay in the title hunt at the historic World Championship Derby Complex.

Kamm Claims in Pro Triple Crown Thriller

There’s no quit in the Pro class, especially in the action-packed, three-round format of the Amsoil Pro Triple Crown. On Saturday in Eagle River, the racing was wide-open, with multiple riders in contention heading into the decisive final round. After Francis Pelletier opened strong with a round-one win, drama unfolded in round two when points leader Emil Harr and Friday’s winner Adam Peterson tangled off the start, forcing Harr off-track and shaking up the points chase. Kody Kamm and Jacob Yurk then engaged in a thrilling battle at the front, with Yurk eventually finding a quick outside line to take the victory in round two.

The Saturday overall came down to a gripping fourth-place battle between Kamm and Pelletier in the final round. After leading early, Pelletier fell back into the fierce fight with Kamm. The two riders swapped positions but remained just sled-lengths apart, with Kamm ultimately edging Pelletier at the line. That critical pass secured Kamm the overall victory —his first since Deadwood in 2023.

“It just came down to good starts and consistency today,” said Kamm, “and finishing off every race really strong. The sled got banged today but the guys worked hard to keep me going and just stayed strong and safe the whole weekend.”

Despite a tie with Kamm at 10 points, Pelletier took second overall after the tiebreaker. Yurk rallied from a last place start in round three to eighth, finishing third overall (5-1-8) and edging out Peterson for the podium position.

With three rounds left in Duluth, Harr heads to the final weekend with a 48-point leader over Saturday’s round three winner Jordan Lebel.

Cole Doubles Up in Eagle River; Dillon Tightens Points Race

Rookie Cameron Cole had been knocking on the door of a win in Anderson’s Maple Syrup Pro Lite for weeks, finally breaking through Friday night — and on Saturday, he raced like a seasoned winner. After patiently shadowing early leader Evan Christian, who took the holeshot, Cole found a quick line and executed a clean pass for the lead on lap six. Once out front, Cole was unstoppable, securing his second victory of the weekend and his career, confirming his newfound confidence with another impressive performance.

“I had to work for that one, too,” said Cole. “Evan was out front ripping and I was just trying to get out wide and out of the snow roost. I found a couple of lines and got around and just stuck to it. It was one heck of a weekend.”

Behind Cole, the points battle intensified as Crayden Dillon fought to regain lost ground. He caught Christian with three laps remaining and ultimately finished second and cut into Anson Scheele’s (fifth on Saturday) points advantage. Christian hung on to third, earning a solid podium result.

Dillon’s runner-up finish significantly narrowed Scheele’s championship lead down to just seven points, setting the stage for a thrilling three-round showdown in Duluth.

Hauger Sweeps the Weekend with Gritty Pro AM Women’s Win

Inanna Hauger is gaining momentum at the right time, completing a weekend sweep in the Pro AM Women’s class on Saturday. Starting second, Hauger had a strong position off the line, but it was Cerissa Blessum who grabbed the holeshot and controlled the early laps. By lap six, Hauger made her move into the lead and never looked back, fending off heavy pressure in the closing laps to secure back-to-back wins in Eagle River.

Defending champion Malene Cottew, who started eighth, sliced through early traffic and put herself in position late, making two aggressive attempts to pass Hauger with two laps to go, but couldn’t make it stick. She settled for second place, salvaging key points in the title chase. Blessum, who led early, held on for third place, earning her second podium of the weekend and her third straight top-three finish in the class.

Lieders Strikes Back with Ninth Win in Pro AM Plus 30

Just a month ago, Corin Todd hadn’t lined up for a practice or race in the Pro AM Plus 30 class, but since joining the series in New York, he and Andy Lieders have been locked in a back-and-forth battle for supremacy. The see-saw continued Saturday night, as Lieders answered Todd’s Friday victory with a wire-to-wire performance, grabbing the holeshot and never looking back to secure his ninth win of the season. Todd kept the pressure on but had to settle for second, extending his podium streak to six since entering the class.

Behind the frontrunners, Tyler Oomen made a key move in the championship chase as he looked to take over second place overall from Brian Peterson. Oomen tracked down Peterson on lap seven, making the pass to secure the final podium spot and inch closer to him in the points standings.

Lebel Stays on a Roll with Sixth Straight FXR Sport Win

Dylan Lebel continued his strong run in the FXR Sport final, extending his winning streak to six and further increasing his points lead on Saturday. Grabbing the holeshot, Lebel quickly pulled away from the field, controlling the race from start to finish to secure another key victory. His consistency at the front has kept him in firm control of the championship battle with only a few rounds remaining.

Behind him, Tanner Johnson put in another solid performance, working his way through early traffic to secure his fourth straight runner-up finish. Kenny Goike followed a similar path, sticking close to Johnson and making key moves through the pack to claim third place, earning his first podium since early in the season and adding another strong result to his season.

Behind him, Caleb Stephenson made the most of his race, earning his first career podium with a second-place finish. He had to fend off round 10 winner Jimmy Stanisich, who pressured him down to the wire but came up just a sled length short. Still, Stanisich’s third-place finish marked his fifth podium in the past six rounds, moving him into second overall behind Tavin Knudson.

Rox Speed FX 120 Champ:  Points leader Henry Dillon took a step toward separating himself from the tight battle for second overall in the 120 Champ class with a start-to-finish victory on Saturday—his fourth win of the season.
