It's Official: Malinoski, Ski-Doo Strike A Deal

Robbie Malinoski and BOSS Racing has struck a deal to race Ski-Doos through the 2010 season, according to a release from Bombardier Recreational Products. Malinoski will compete on the WPSA circuit.
Malinoski won Pro Open and Pro Stock championships on an Arctic Cat in 2006 before switching to Yamaha last season where he raced in the Pro Open class. His split from Yamaha was announced last week.
Malinoski qualified for six of 10 Pro Open finals last season and earned an average finish of 10th place, according to BRP’s release. He had one victory, which was the first pro-class snocross win on a four-stroke-powered machine.
Aside from only competing in one class, his sled suffered a weight penalty. “It was hard giving a 50- to 60-pound advantage to everyone else week after week,” Malinoski said.
The 25-year-old will have one teammate — a pro — who will be announced later this summer. “There’s nothing I love more than mixing it up at the head of the pack,” Malinoski said. “I’m stoked because racing the new REV-XP platform will let me do that again [in] every single heat and final.”
Other Ski-Doo factory race teams for 2008 include Warnert Racing, Blair Morgan Racing, Harrison Racing and D&Z Racing.
