Firmly planted at the top of Yamaha’s line of performance snowmobiles, the Apex SE is a high performance luxury liner. It features the sport’s only four-cylinder four-stroke. Adapted from Yamaha’s motorcycle line, the 998cc engine revs high and makes incredible power, lighting up the track and propelling the driver forward. The EXUP variable exhaust system, electric power steering and a 128-inch track were added for model year 2011 for more power, lighter steering and improved traction, respectively. For 2014, the Tuner skis first used on FX Nytro models make it to the Apex and Apex SE snowmobiles for more front end control. The SE version of the Apex gets all air suspensions, with Fox FLOAT 2 shocks up front and a Mega FLOAT on the single shock rear suspension.
