One of the coolest organizations to grow out of the snowmobiling world in the past 20 years has been the Pink Ribbon Riders. Dedicated to helping patients – female and male – who are dealing with the effects of breast cancer, it has been mixing charitable fund raising and giving with entertaining fun since it was founded way back in the 2004.
One of the organization’s many great annual traditions is its Snow Run series. Usually the events combine days of snowmobiling with a fun banquet, zany contests and fund raising. However, they are held with or without snow, so if the area where a particular Snow Run is scheduled happens to be snow starved in a particular year, the fun doesn’t stop.
For 2023, the Snow Run season kicks off with an event in Gaylord, Michigan, on January 21. It continues four weeks later with the 16th annual Wyoming Snow Run, held this year at a new location in Alpine, Wyoming, on February 17-18. The focus shifts to the other side of the country the following weekend with the 19th running of the event that started it all – the New York Snow Run, held February 25 at Old Forge, New York.
In each instance, riders sign up in advance and gather pledges from friends and family, and then participate in events once there – including the Bra Hunt that has a $150 cash prize. Virtual runs will also be held in Wisconsin and Minnesota over the winter, and the group will participate in the HIllers Radar Run in St. Germain, Wisconsin, with their own twist on the traditional Bikini Run: A Men’s Swimsuit Radar Run to raise money for Pink Ribbon Riders.

A celebration of 19 years of giving while having fun and meeting amazing people is on the horizon. Snowmobiles and great people have made it possible for Pink Ribbon Riders to continue the mission of helping patients in need.
The 2023 Snow Run season kicks off on January 21, with the Michigan Snow Run. Following Michigan, the tour heads out west for two days in Wyoming on February 17-18. We’ll round off the tour with New York on February 25, 2023.
Come join the fun by snowmobile, road legal fun of a jeep, truck, car, or UTV depending on the location. There is a $150 cash prize for the bra hunt winner, pledge-raising prizes for those participating, and top fundraiser recognition.
More than $2.1 million dollars to date has been given directly to date to men and women in need and it would not have been made possible without great people and companies over the years.
