Polaris Announces Major Joint Venture; Is Arctic Cat Next?

Our little neighborhood snowmobile companies aren’t really snowmobile companies anymore…

Polaris today announced it has entered into a joint venture with the India-based company that makes Royal Enfield motorcycles, among other products. This taken on top of the amazing strength Polaris has in the UTV and ATV markets, its Victory and Indian motorcycle brands and all of its recent efforts and acquisitions in on-road electric vehicles are amazing shows of strength for the company started on Edgar Hetteen, Allen Hetteen and David Johnson with some farm equipment and then a Sno-Traveler.

But maybe, just maybe, Polaris isn’t the only Hetteen-started company with big news this year. There are all sorts of rumors flying that Arctic Cat is about to announce some sort of major partnership that will have heads spinning soon. Rumors, you say? Yeah, just rumors at this point, but they are being whispered by some people who haven’t let us down before.

Edgar Hetteen, historians may recall, also started Cat, though it was first called Polar Manufacturing.

Below is the press release issued by Polaris this morning: If anything happens with the Cat rumors, you’ll see that here on snowgoer.com as well.
