North American snowmobile manufacturers recently announced plans to partner with dealerships this fall to collectively create the first “International Snowmobile Celebration” event from October 25-27, 2019.
Modeled after “Snöskoterns Dag” (or “Day of the Snowmobile”) held across regions of Sweden, the dealer-centric event will celebrate the snowmobiling community as well as prepare and excite riders for the upcoming season.
Snowmobile dealerships, clubs and Associations/Federations across the United States and Canada will be encouraged to participate by providing events featuring vintage and custom snowmobiles, safety training, maintenance and winter check-ups and other exhibits to make the weekend a fun, family-centered activity.
“See old friends, make new friends – do whatever you want to do, at the dealership. It will be a fun event, not a sales event,” said International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA) Ed Kilm at the 2019 International Snowmobile Congress meeting. “The goal is to get the whole snowmobiling community together at these different events to get excited for the season.”
Manufacturers have pledged to support dealers who host celebration events, and snowmobile clubs are encouraged to partner with local dealerships (offering an opportunity for membership and volunteer recruitment).
Snowmobiling remains a large part of the winter tourism, especially in rural economies across the North American Snowbelt. Contact your local dealership for more information.
