2014 Canadian Vacation Guide

Canada offers every conceivable type of terrain and riding experience, whether you’ve just discovered snowmobiling or you’ve been riding most of your life.

This year, we want to bring you a few ideas and destinations that you may not have considered before; perhaps somewhere off the beaten track or a bit further away from the usual… maybe a place you’d find if you took a left where you usually take a right… you get the idea. Click on a province for an in depth guide.

There are incredible sledding destinations everywhere in this country. Canada offers every conceivable type of terrain and riding experience, whether you’ve just discovered snowmobiling or you’ve been riding most of your life. But when the ride is over for the day and you’ve created some memorable moments with family and friends, there’s still more ahead. The warm hospitality you will encounter everywhere will take the whole experience to a new level. We all know snowmobiling is about a day in the outdoors. But it’s also about sharing the camaraderie over a good meal in front of a welcoming fireplace.

The place may change, but the feeling remains the same… and you can’t get enough of it. So enjoy our look at just a few of the amazing destinations that are waiting to welcome you. Remember that most of the trails you will ride are built and maintained by volunteers; men and women who like you, love the sport and enthusiastically give their free time to keep it going.

Keep in mind that clubs and snowmobile associations in most provinces require you to purchase a trail pass, so check the provincial associations’ websites for pricing and locations. It’s always best to buy your pass where you ride as the proceeds will help to support snowmobiling in that area.

And please remember, if you are visiting avalanche country anywhere, be trained and prepared in case you get caught. Know the weather and snow conditions and heed all avalanche warnings.
