Share Your Story—Get Published in Snow Goer

For many snowmobilers, the best part of the sport isn’t just the machines—it’s the stories that come from the trails. From unforgettable backcountry tours to local club events and scenic day rides, every ride has a story worth telling. That’s exactly why Snow Goer invites readers to contribute their own experiences through its reader submissions program.

Snow Goer accepts several types of submissions from riders across the United States and Canada. One of the most popular categories is featured tour stories, where riders share first-hand accounts of trips they’ve taken. These articles are typically a bit longer and should include detailed descriptions of the ride—we want to know what you were seeing, smelling, and thinking on the trip!  Featured tour stories should also include a full album of high-resolution photos that capture the scenery, sleds, and moments that made the trip memorable.

For shorter contributions, Snow Goer also accepts day ride submissions. These focus on routes that can be completed in a single day and include a short overview of the ride, recommended lunch stops, and notable points of interest along the trail. Riders are encouraged to include trail data files, such as GPX tracks, and several quality photos to help readers visualize the journey.

Beyond trail stories, Snow Goer highlights the people who keep the sport alive through club and dealer features. Snowmobile clubs can submit information about their membership, events, and youth programs, while dealerships can share their history, unique services, and contributions to the local riding community. These features help spotlight the grassroots organizations that support snowmobiling across North America.

If your story is selected for publication, Snow Goer sends contributors a compensation package that may include branded gear, partner products, and copies of the magazine issue in which the story appears. While the real reward is sharing your ride with thousands of fellow riders, the extra swag is a nice bonus. Package contents are subject to change at any time. We promise you’ll enjoy what we send.
