Yamaha Apex Mountain SE

The Phazer Mountain Lite returns with an impressive makeover. This sled’s former popularity as a lightweight mountain funster will now have a radical dimension.
As with the other Phazer models, the styling, chassis and 80 hp engine make the machine. The FX chassis is lightweight and narrow, and accommodates a 14- by 144- by 2-inch Camoplast Maverick track. The tube-style tunnel is made of chromoly.
Special features include a tall seat, tall handlebars with a grab strap, push-button electric shift reverse, quick-release hood and bodywork, in-seat storage and a ventilated hydraulic brake.
The Phazer styling is what Yamaha calls “naked.” The absence of extra parts, such as a belly pan, helps to reduce weight. The rear of the seat houses an LED taillight.

Front Suspension: Independent Double Wishbone; Shocks/Travel: Fox FLOAT/7 inches; Rear Suspension: Pro Mountain 162; Shocks/ Travel:Hydraulic Gas Cell/14 inches; Features: The rear suspension is a torsion spring design. The front suspension has short spindles, longer A-arms and a revised shock mount location. Ski stance ranges between 37.6 to 39.6 inches.
