2027 Arctic Cat Jag 400 Sno Pro—High Spec, Compact Package
The 2027 Arctic Cat Jag marks the return of the iconic Jag nameplate, bringing a fresh, race-inspired energy back to the trail segment in Arctic Cat’s all-new lineup. Built around a compact and agile platform with modern suspension and fuel-injected simplicity, the Jag 400 is designed for riders who want confident handling, approachable power, and style in a mid-sized sled that doesn’t overwhelm.
There are three models in the Jag family: the Jag 400, Jag 400 Sno Pro, and the Jag 400 Sno Pro SG. We’re looking specifically at Sno Pro variants in this article, which are the high spec options, with the SG version available only as a spring special order model in a limited edition colorway.
You can order your 2027 Arctic Cat Jag 400 Sno Pro SG now through March 23, 2026.

Compact Chassis, Thoughtful Engineering
Underpinning the Jag 400 Sno Pro is a compact, mid-sized chassis that prioritizes agility and control on packed trails. Its overall length and balanced design lend a playful character that appeals to both newer riders and those looking for a spirited run without a big-bore commitment.
Front suspension uses the Arctic Mountain Suspension (AMS) setup, which uses high-travel geometry to smooth out trail chatter while keeping steering crisp and predictable. Premium AC5S shocks at all four corners enhance compression and rebound control over varied surfaces, giving these Sno Pro variants a more planted feel than the base model.
At the rear, a slide-action suspension with adjustable torsion springs and generous travel soaks up bumps and offers stability at speed on harder snow or uneven trail conditions.
400-Series Power and Trail-Ready Drivetrain
The heart of the Jag 400 is Arctic Cat’s 397cc C-TEC2 single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, two-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI). EFI brings smooth throttle response and ease of starts in cold weather, while the compact engine’s torque characteristics suit the sled’s lightweight frame and trail-oriented mission. A three-stage exhaust valve system further refines power delivery, sharpening throttle response while enhancing overall engine performance across the rpm range.
Power is transferred through Arctic Cat’s Arctic Drive System with CVTech Trailbloc and Invance clutches, calibrated to provide a broad usable pull in the typical trail operating range and stable belt engagement across varying elevations. A push-button reverse adds convenience for tight parking or trailer maneuvering.
The Sno Pro and Sno Pro SG models use the 129-inch Ripsaw track, where the base model Jag has the 121-inch Hacksaw track with smaller lugs. The runner on the Snow Pro models is the twin split, and on the base model a single runner with carbide is used.
Rider-Friendly Features and Ergonomics
Cockpit ergonomics on the Jag 400 Sno Pro keep the rider in harmony with the trail ahead. A standard digital gauge supplies key information like speed, engine hours, and fuel status at a glance, while hooked handlebars with hand and thumb warmers help reduce fatigue on chilly days.
Comfortable seating and a thoughtfully shaped low windshield (high windshield available) help block windblast, improving comfort without sacrificing the slim, agile feel that defines this sled. A turnkey electric start ensures quick, dependable starts even when the thermometer dips.
How It Fits in the Arctic Cat Lineup
The 2027 Jag 400 Sno Pro sits in Arctic Cat’s trail category alongside other mid-sized and trail-focused models, such as the base Jag 400 and more powerful siblings like the El Tigré 600.
For riders who want a lightweight, easy-to-handle sled with premium suspension and approachable performance, the Sno Pro offers a compelling balance of fun and capability without the complexity or weight of big-bore machines.
The Jag 400 Sno Pro (green) and base model Jag 400 (black) will be available at dealers later this fall. The Sno Pro SG comes in a special white colorway only available through the pre-order program.
You can order your 2027 Arctic Cat Jag 400 Sno Pro SG now through March 23, 2026.

I hate I hate to say it but I’m not impressed with the specs looking for the actual horsepower of the machine, the ski stance how wide is it, and the actual weight of the machine. As a snow Pro I was hoping for more bite on the track also, but I guess if you’re not going to put the power down that trail track is all you’re going to get anyways
Why didn’t you include the weight?
The power to weight ratio is imperative.
The people riding this machine will be smaller with less muscle mass and have trouble with the size and weight of the 600s
