Short track, liquid-cooled MX Z sleds are available in five packages for 2007. Ski-Doo touts its new Blizzard package as the premium sled for aggressive riders. It rolls on a snow-scooping 15- by 121- by 1.25-inch track.
Other features on the Blizzard include a steel-braided brake line, HPV roller secondary clutch and race-style handlebar riser blocks.
The Adrenaline package is fitted with scaled-down shocks and a rubber brake hose. The track has 1-inch lugs. The base model MX Z Trail returns with a 15- by 121- by 1-inch track.
X-RS and “X” packages were available last spring, but might be available at some dealers. The X-RS includes the seat, snowflap, handlebars, gas tank, most chassis reinforcements and several other features of the MX Zx 440 race sled.
The suspensions offer adjustability from Adrenaline-package compliance to snocross-stiff. A 15- by 121- by 1.25-inch Rip Saw track is standard, but Camoplast’s Ice Ripper with pre-molded studs is available for $200.
Like the X-RS, “X” package sleds also get the firm, sticky seat from the MX Zx. Electric start is available on all machines except X-RS models.
