The first race of the 2025-26 ISOC Snocross season in Ironwood, Michigan was bitterly cold but the racing action was far from it. Ski-Doo racers were on the throttle from the start, claiming their share of victories and podiums as everyone shook off the first race jitters and the question of who’s next begins to be answered.

Ski-Doo Highlights:

  • Pros Gustav Sahlsten and Even Daudt finished 2nd and 3rd Friday and Sahlsten left Ironwood one point behind in the championship standings.
  • Drew Freeland, Kellen Chapuran and Martin Johansson all claimed podium spots over the weekend in Pro Lite with both Chapuran and Freeland tied for 2nd in points after Saturday.
  • Inanna Hauger, Victoria Dillon and Naeli Lebel swept the Pro-Am Women podium on Saturday. Dillion had a massive comeback from the 3rd row to 2nd place on Friday.
  • Brady Freeland and AJ Skogquist finished 1st and 2nd in Sport class Friday.
  • Justin Blazevic led a Podium sweep in Sport class on Saturday – followed by Olle Sahlstrom and Kamden Duffy.

Facing the extreme cold and wind, racers also had to deal with heavy snow dust and diminished visibility throughout the event.

“We’re proud of the entire team, from the 200’s all the way to the Pros, as they endured challenging conditions to collect some nice race wins and podium finishes,” stated JF Leclerc, Ski-Doo racing manager, in a news release. “Our racers set the foundation for a strong season ahead and we’re looking forward to the next round at Canterbury.”
