ParticipantAnybody looking forward to any racing this winter? We’ll be running the ISOC National and Mn regional circuits.

KeymasterI plan to be at the Duluth opener on Sunday — what classes are you folks running? Will Team Svenny be all wrapped up by then, or should me and my camera be ready to run for our lives (and lens) when one of the kids takes a short cut through the infield?!!

ParticipantWe race in the sport and sport lite classes, so we race Friday and Saturday. We practiced and tested at Quadna last weekend, was a good time, Team Lavallee, Daniel Benham and Aki Pilahi where all there.

KeymasterKeep track of any lap times for me? I need insight, man, not just name-dropping!!!
In all seriousness, I think Benham could be a man to beat this year — time will tell. I’ll be watching the online stuff on-and-off on Friday and Saturday of Duluth weekend, so maybe I’ll see the kids on there, but I can’t shake loose of other commitments until Sunday morning. Good luck.

ParticipantPrusak . will you be coming to the finale in Lake Geneva this season?

KeymasterProbably not… that time of year we’re always trying to get more miles on our demo fleet or some pre-production units for the following year, so if I don’t have any other commitments you can usually find me in the U.P. or far northern Wisconsin or Minnesota that time of year, running over snowflakes. I love racing, but if the choice is watching somebody else ride or holding the handlebar myself… well… duty calls!

KeymasterDid you guys have trouble coming up with Cat sleds to run for this year?

ParticipantIt worked out well for us, my brother had purchased a 2019 last fall, that we kept. We fortunately knew someone switching brands and bought 2 more 2019’s from them. This way all the sleds are parts compatible.

ParticipantWell, we got our racing in Friday and Saturday before the storm. We got lucky and made it home in the storm, they cancelled racing at 5pm Saturday and cancelled Sunday altogether. Some people never even got a chance to race and traveled great distances to get stuck in a snowstorm. The boys did best they could but didn’t make any finals, they both moved up classes to sport and sport lite, hopefully they can find the speed to be in the mix.
