A FULL WEEKEND OF FUN AND RACING ACTIVITIES AWAITS FANS AT THE GRAND PRIX SKI-DOO OF VALCOURT PRESENTED BY INTACT INSURANCE
Valcourt, Québec – December 11, 2014 – The organizers of the 2015 Grand Prix Ski-Doo of Valcourt presented by Intact Insurance are pleased to announce its racing program and family fun and games activities for the 33rd running of the event the weekend of February 20-22, 2015. On top of its historical snowmobile ice oval track racing and snocross competition that has for decades brought the best riders from Canada and the United States to Valcourt every February, the Grand Prix of Valcourt has improved on an already amazing program of activities.
New this year! Snowmobile Drag Racing Three Wide
The Friday night under the lights Snowmobile Drag Racing Competition will now see riders drag racing three wide all the way to the finish line. The one-night only event, Round 4 of 6 of the 2015 Circuit Top Speed Racing schedule, will offer fans more action and thrills with this new format at the Grand Prix of Valcourt. Amateurs and Pro racers will battle it out from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the Grand Finale in all six Pro classes starting at 9:30 p.m. following a 60-minute break. Fans can access the Grand Prix Drag Racing site free of charge from 3:00 p.m. on.
Saturday Night Freestyle Snocross Showdown Under the Lights
Back by popular demand, the Freestyle Snocross Showdown returns to the 2015 Grand Prix of Valcourt with the Can-Am Face Off between Canadian Freestylers and their American counterparts. The Outer Limit Tour freestyle show based in South Portland, Maine and the Quebec Trep Freestyle Productions will once again offer fans a Canadian flavoured face-off in the Saturday night freestyle showdown. Every year, the event is a sell out at the Grand Prix village annex site, so buy you tickets early.
Every night is party night with a second Firework Show on Saturday night
Over the years, the Friday night firework show has drawn huge crowds at the Grand Prix of Valcourt. Following this success, the organizers have decided to add a second firework show on Saturday night for the whole family to enjoy. Partygoers will also have fun on Friday night at the two Budweiser evening shows under the Ski-Doo Big Top with alternative rock group Three of Us and the finalists of the French TV show, The Voice, on Saturday, February 21st at 8 p.m. Shows you will not want to miss!
