Big news from the aftermarket: A notable brand has new ownership, and that owner an active snowmobiler and snowmobile racer who is making big promises about future product development.
Eagle Machine Products LLC has purchased the Snow Studs brand of traction products from Accord Racing, it was announced on June 1. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The person behind Eagle Machine is Dave Pichler, a longtime straightline drag racer has competed all the way up the ladder to the exotic Outlaw sleds.
Rumors of a pending deal kicked into high gear about a week before the deal was announced, when the Snow Studs Facebook page changed the background color of the company logo from black to blue, and had a post saying, “Stay Tuned: Big announcements coming in June!”

SnowStuds is pleased to announce a new and exciting transition in ownership!
Effective June 1st, 2019, Accord Manufacturing has sold the Snow Studs brand, product line, and production to Eagle Machine Products LLC. President and CEO of Eagle Machine Products, Dave Pichler, is thrilled to be able to continue the production of the Snow Studs line of USA made traction products. Dave, a longtime local snowmobile drag racer and avid rider, sees incredible opportunity within SnowStuds to grow the company and product line through additional outreach activities, sponsorships, and new product development.
SnowStuds will continue to be manufactured in Wisconsin retaining the current staff and product line. During the transition, all product, existing orders, as well as new orders will continue to be filled with the same quality product and efficiency that the clients of SnowStuds have come to expect.
Dave states, “This is a lifetime dream of mine to be able to own and grow a business in the sport that I love. SnowStuds has sponsored me throughout my career of racing and has proven to me the quality of their product. My fiancée, Amy Goza, and I promise to continue to provide the exceptional product and service that SnowStuds has always produced, as well as work on developing new products that will enhance the sport of snowmobiling. Our goal is to produce a high-quality affordable product that will enhance rider control and safety on the trail or racetrack.” Dave, who has worked for a number of years as an engineer, is also happy to work with customers to develop specific products to fit their needs.
Dave states that as an avid racer, he understands the financial impact of maintaining a competitive edge. He plans to continue to offer the product line at the same affordable cost as well as offer a highly competitive sponsorship package to continue to grow the sport.
