Rocky Mtn Expo Returns, With Special Friday Night Party

After a one-year hiatus, the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Expo is back for 2021 to kick off the run-up to another new snowmobile season in Colorado. This fall, though, the event has new hours/days of operation, new action and a celebration of 50-plus years of organized snowmobiling in the Centennial State.

The event will be October 8-9 at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado – a Friday-Saturday schedule instead of the previous Saturday-Sunday. It will still have the big vendor displays, Saturday swap meet, educational seminars and more, but exciting new festivities are being added.

Come For The Gear, Stay For The Party

For more than 35 years, the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Expo has been a staple for snowmobilers in Colorado and neighboring states to attend to shop for riding and safety gear, check out new sleds, attend educational seminars, peruse performance parts, meet famous backcountry heroes and more.

The event, owned and produced by EPG Media/Snow Goer magazine and held in partnership with the Colorado Snowmobile Association (CSA), has become the best-attended snowmobile show in the West.

Before being cancelled last year due to COVID-related restrictions, the Expo was going to move to a Friday-Saturday format – with the opening Friday night including a celebration of 50 years of the Colorado Snowmobile Association (CSA) and its predecessor, the Colorado Association of Snowmobile Clubs.

Like the recently completed “2020” Olympics, COVID restriction can’t hold back the fine people who promote and protect snowmobiling at the CSA, so the big Friday night party was moved to this year and will anchor the Friday night event. 50 years is still worth celebrating, even in year 51. The show hours will run from 4 to 9 on Friday, but the show will be followed by a fun and festive party hosted by the CSA. Exact details will be announced in coming weeks, but expect food, entertainment, beverages, celebrity guest appearances, auctions and more.

Get Ready For Winter

Whether you attend Friday or Saturday, the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Expo will have what you need to get ready for another exciting winter. From new sleds to aftermarket turbo kits, trailers to snow bikes, riding gear to avalanche safety equipment, trailers to gear bags and much more, the entire world of snowmobile equipment is contained under one roof for this one weekend.

Beyond that, used equipment and supplies are available outside in the swap meet on Saturday. The swap meet is a fundraiser for the CSA that is operated in conjunction with Steamboat Powersports.

The event also hosts a deep list of educational seminars, where folks like Matt Entz, Chris Burandt, Mike Duffy, Erik Woog, Bret Rasmussen, Brian Lundstedt, Brandon Tudizzle Cox and many more share insight and advice on everything from riding techniques to backcountry safety to proper use of gear and equipment.

Plus you can find new places to ride, learn about clubs to join, attend the celebrity autograph session, and more.

Bottom line: If you’re a Rocky Mountain Snowmobiler, this is one you can’t miss. For more information or ticket information (including $2 off ticket in August), visit COsnowmobileexpo.com.
