After announcing two new race sleds only moments earlier to an eager audience at Haydays 2018, Arctic Cat officials went above and beyond expectations for its faithful followers by also unveiling the new consumer offering, the 2019 M 6000 Alpha One.
The M 6000 Alpha One will feature Cat’s revolutionary Alpha One single-rail rear suspension that mountain-riding sledheads everywhere have talked about since spring orders, and will be propelled by a C-TEC2 599cc engine. It also features new handlebar controls with improved ergonomics, new Stealth lightweight brake master cylinder for better braking, new ECM calibrations for peak performance and G2 ProClimb-7 skis that feature new geometry to deliver better balance. And that’s not even everything – you can view a full list of specs over at Arctic Insider.
The sled is consider a tweener or transition sled – ideal for the mountain riding enthusiast who may not be quite ready for the full prowess of a M 8000 Mountain Cat Alpha One 165.
“We introduced the Alpha and it was a runaway success, but one thing became very apparent – we could see we were missing a group of transition riders,” said Craig Kennedy, Arctic Cat vice president of snow. “This will bring everyone to the table.”
The model will be a limited-build for the 2019 season.
