This is the event that dragged the amazing double-backflip out of Levi LaVallee last year, and made him an international man of mystery – or something like that.
This competition gathers the best freestylers in the world to attempt to land one, totally outlanding trick that will wow the judges. They get two shots at it – and there are rumors of some truly sick tricks in the works. Last year, Dane Ferguson won the similar event called Next Trick because he was the only one to stay on his sled and complete the trick — the tricks were that tough.
The Snowmobile Best Trick final is scheduled to be between 6 and 7 p.m. Mountain time on Friday evening in Aspen, Colorado.
Here is the list of invited competitors, according to ESPN:

While the best trick competition is all about landing one truly big thing, the Freestyle competition is more about putting together a great program, with trick-after-trick to wow the crowd and the judges.
Joe Parsons won gold here last year, but he’ll have plenty of competition. Justin Moyer claimed second last year and is back looking for gold, the legendary Paul Thacker and Jimmy “Blaze” Fejes refuse to grow old and ESPN darling Levi Lavallee is promising to be in the mix. There are even a couple of ATV freestyle riders who recently converted to sleds to make a run at this event.
The Snowmobile Freestyle qualifiers are going on literally as I write this Thursday, with the final schedule for sometime between 7 and 9 p.m. Mountain time tonight – Thursday, January 28.
