The ORA is Here to Stay, 2009-10 Schedule Released

The Oval Racers Alliance, otherwise known as ORA, has officially released their 2009-2010 race season schedule.  In their inaugural season, the ORA will host three races featuring both modern and vintage snowmobiles.

The first event on the ORA schedule is a three-day event taking place February 5-7, 2010 at the I94 Speedway in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.  “The Speedway presents one of the finest venues for ice oval racing in Minnesota,” said Mike Meagher, ORA Director.

From there the ORA moves to Grey Eagle, Minnesota for a race February 20-21, 2010.  The last race of the season will take place February 27-28, 2010 on Lake Mille Lacs in Garrison, Minnesota.

The ORA staff is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the season and looks forward to offering great venues, exciting racing and excellent service to both racers and fans alike.  Please visit ovalracersalliance.com for more information and updates.

  • If you want to see the most extreme ice oval venue, mark the ORA Sauk Centre, MN. event. These are extreme banked corners and a wide racing surface creating multiple “grooves” and passing lanes. The racing and venue should become the premier minnesota event.

  • The ORA races are great, just to to fine tune a couple of things.
    1) Please say the prayer with the spectators prior to race start for the safety of the racers & fans. This is a commen racing practice and we were disappointed to not see it happen at the I94 races (especially when driver #95 was injured)

    2) Give updates when a racer is injured. We are still concerned about the young man (#95) in the 13/14 year old heet that was injured. We continue to keep him and his family in ours prayers and it would be great to know he is ok.
