Ski-Doo has already released details on some of its 2018 snowmobiles, and two other factories are scheduled to release details on their lineups in coming days. For some folks, an online recap is enough…. for others, if that isn’t enough to scratch your itch, the Snowmobile Sneak Peek tours will again be working their way across much of the Snowbelt in the U.S. and Canada this spring.
The Manufacturers’ Sneak Peek Tour is a partnership between Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha where typically 40-50 new snowmobiles are on display. Factory and dealer reps are there as well, ready to answer questions and explain the features, benefits and details on the spring-order-only sleds in particular. Once again this year, Arctic Cat is not participating in the joint Sneak Peek tour and will focus instead on dealer-based events to showcase its 2018 snowmobiles.
The U.S. tour has 10 stops this year, starting with four stops in the Northeast before moving into the Upper Midwest. For the second straight year, there won’t be a formal, organized western tour, though certainly you can still expect to see the new sleds at events like the West Yellowstone Expo (March 10-12) and Jackson Hole World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb (March 23-25). And Ski-Doo is hosting slew of additional events this spring, including 17 in the U.S. and nine in Canada. Visit ski-doo.com for times and exact locations for those events.
For the U.S. events listed below, hours for indoor shows are typically 4 to 9 p.m., though the lone Minnesota stop will have longer hours. The stops in Colebrook (SnoDeo) and Old Forge (SnoFest) are outdoor, weekend events. Hours vary more in the Canadian tour. Visit snowsneakpeek.com for exact locations and other details.
