Don’t look for Robbie Malinoski to put a Yamaha snowmobile on the snocross podium next winter. The 25-year-old former WPSA series champ and Yamaha couldn’t nail down a contract this spring.
“I’m disappointed that things didn’t work out between us,” Malinoski said. “We’ve had an amazing year making history by earning the first pro snocross win on a four-stroke sled. In the end, things just didn’t work out during negotiations.”
Yamaha is working to sign two riders for next season. A deal is expected to come together next month, said Rob Powers, Yamaha snowmobile marketing manager.
