Play The Fantasy Snocross Racing Game: It’s Easy, Free And Fun!

The snowmobile racing season is fast-approaching, and to make it more fun to be a fan, Snow Goer is bringing back its fantasy Snowmobile Racing Challenge game again this season, applying fantasy sports to snocross and oval sprint racing.

The best parts? The Snowmobile Racing Challenge is very easy to understand and it’s free to play, and players can participate in a single week or collect points during the whole season. 

Here’s How To Play

For each race event, players predict the top six in the finishing order in the final Pro final in snocross and the top 5 in Pro Champ 440 in ovals.  Those selections are made using pull-down windows that include the names of all expected participants at the event — so you don’t even have to be a racing expert to play. If a fantasy player nails a driver to the position they actually finish, the player will get 20 points for that driver. If, however, they are one position off, the player gets 15 points for that driver, 14 if they finish two positions off, 13 point if three positions off, etc. Points are only earned for drivers who finish in the top six (or, top five in ovals).

At the end of the weekend, points are tallied and the standings are updated. Then players can make their picks for the following event.

The Snocross game will be based off of results from the last Pro final of any given weekend on the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross series — which is available to watch online every race weekend. Picks must be made by a deadline that will be set each weekend, and once picks are made they are locked in. The Ovals game this year will be based on results mostly from the USSA’s ProStar Cup, though on the weekend of the Eagle River World Championship Snowmobile Derby, the game will utilize the results of the actual World Championship on Sunday, January 20, and not from the Friday Night Sweet 16 race, which will count for racers in the ProStar Cup series.  

Last season, the Snocross title was claimed by Russell Miller, who finished second in the previous year but edged out magazine editor John Prusak for the title, with Kaitlyn Harter third. More than 100 people made predictions for at least one race. In a first time occurrance in the history of the game, we had a repeat winner as that same Russell Miller also won our ovals bracket, edging out a former winner who goes by the name Polarisracer and Prusak by 7 points.
