Join The Snowmobile Racing Challenge

It’s time to test your snowmobile racing knowledge and skills – or, your ability to correctly guess – in the Snow Goer magazine Snowmobile Racing Challenge.

This new fantasy sports game allows players to select drivers for 12 different snowmobile racing events and earn points based upon how those drivers finish. There will be prizes for weekly winners and runners up, as well as for year-end points. The Challenge is sponsored by Castle Racing, Fox Racing Shox and Sportech.

“The Snow Goer Snowmobile Racing Challenge really plays off the popularity of two things we love here in our office – fantasy sports and snowmobile racing,” said Mark Rosacker, associate publisher and sales director for Snow Goer magazine and snowgoer.com. “Plus it will cover several different forms of racing – including all of the ISOC national snocross races, the Eagle River World Championship, the Soo I-500 and the USCC Red Lake I-500. It should be a blast!”

Participants can sign up for free by visiting clicking on the Snow Goer Snowmobile Racing Challenge button or story on snowgoer.com. Once registered, they’ll be allowed to pick from a menu of racers for each event. Prizes such as hats, sweatshirts and other swag will be awarded by the sponsors of the contest and the magazine.

“The best parts are that it’s easy to enter, you really don’t need a lot of snowmobile racing knowledge to play, it’s free and it’s fun,” Rosacker explained. “Plus, it gives you an excuse to pay attention to what’s going on at the racetrack on Sundays – and potentially win cool prizes.”

The year-end points will be determined by taking each player’s top eight weekly scores, so even if players miss a week or two, they’ll still have a very real shot at the year-end title.

The season kicks off Nov. 28, with the Pro Stock final at the Amsoil Duluth ISOC National. It continues with the Pro Open finals at the ISOC national races inFargo, North Dakota on Dec. 10-11; and Sandy, Utah, Jan. 8, before turning its attention to the ovals and the Eagle River World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River Wisconsin, on Jan. 16. Next up is the epic 500-mile cross-country race – the USCC Red Lake 500 Jan. 21-23 in Minnesota, followed by the Winter X Games snocross final Jan. 30 in Colorado. That’s followed by a double-points weekend, with the ISOC nationals at Farmington, New York, Feb 5-6, and the 500-lap Soo I-500 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on Feb. 6.

The Challenge wraps up with ISOC events in Pontiac, Michigan, Feb. 12; Hayward, Wisconsin, on March 4-6; Elko, Minnesota, March 12-13 and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin March 18-20.

“Join the Snowmobile Racing Challenge at snowgoer.com,” Rosacker said. “It’s easy, it’s fun and it’s free.”
