Cor Powersports Announces Interesting 2026 XC Schedule

The high-profile Cor Powersports race circuit that more-or-less controls cross-country snowmobile racing in the Upper Midwest has unveiled a particularly interesting 2026 schedule that includes events in three states.

Some of the usual stops in northern Minnesota – including the modern version of the cross-country I-500, the Heartland 200 and more – are joined by two stops in Michigan and one in North Dakota. Overall, racers will compete in a combination of laketops, ditches, woods, firelanes and even ski hills over the course of eight race weekends.

Will the Polaris teams still dominate? Last year the brand took the top six positions in Pro Factory points, with Evan Peppel edging Dan Revering, Boe Bunke and Aaron Christensen in a close points battle. Or will a rejuvenated Arctic Cat effort led by Zach Herfindahl and a returning Jesse Hallstrom rise to the challenge? Or will a new star stepping up from Semi Pro stir the waters? Only time will tell, but it will all be here before you know it. From hosting the top Pro class drivers in Stock and Open classes to having a variety of easily accessible classes, Cor Powersports hosts some of the coolest real-world racing around.

The season starts January 10-11 with the Ottertail 100 in Ottertail, Minnesota. Two weeks later, the circuit moves a mere hour northwest to Park Rapid, Minnesota, for the Heartland 200 – one of the crown jewel events in the sport.

The following weekend – on January 31 – the action will cross the border to Manvel, North Dakota, for the rugged Turtle River Rough Riders 100. After a weeklong break (during which some cross-country regulars will go compete in the Soo I-500 enduro), the Goodridge/Grygla I-500 brings the cross-country world together in far northwestern Minnesota for a run at history.

The Leech Lake 200 will be based out of Walker, Minnesota, on February 28 and March 1. It is followed by the Snodeo 200 in the historic town of Naytahwaush, Minnesota, on March 7-8.

The last two races are in Michigan, with one returning featured event and one exciting new addition. Back is the Mt. Zion Championship near Ironwood, Michigan on March 21-22. New for 2026 is the Porcupine Mountain 100, March 28, based out of Ontonagon and sponsored by Hamilton’s North Coast Adventure. We’re excited to see what that new event brings.

2026 Cor PowerSports Race Series Schedule

Fifteen years ago, the Cor PowerSports Race Series set out to redefine what’s possible in snowmobile racing. Through every twist, turn, and snowstorm, we’ve chased one goal: to deliver the most thrilling, demanding, and memorable events in the sport. While recent winters have tested our resolve, this milestone 15th season marks our boldest effort yet—a return to the raw excitement and relentless challenge that define actual cross-country racing. Get ready for a season that pushes the limits and crowns the industry’s most versatile racers.

Cross-country racing has always resonated with recreational riders. Our races span terrain that mirrors what everyday riders encounter on machines available from dealers. Cross-country racing is also highly valued by manufacturers, who invest thousands of hours in research and development, leading to technological advancements in the consumer sleds available today.

Over the past year, we have developed new race venues and worked to bring back favorite locations.

Today, we announce our 2026 Cor PowerSports Race Series schedule. This season, we secured 3 and 5 year contracts with many of our current venues, demonstrating the long-term vitality of cross-country racing. We are also reviving a beloved event and introducing a brand-new terrain race, both of which represent our commitment to the future of the sport.

We’re bringing back the Turtle River Rough Riders 100 in Manvel, ND, featuring the same challenging cross-country terrain and a strong community spirit.

New this year is the Porcupine Mountains 100 in Ontonagon, MI, presented by Hamilton’s North Coast Adventure. This venue offers a vast trail system and fresh energy for Midwest racers. As the season approaches, more information will follow. With this year’s schedule, racers can look forward to multiple events—plowed lake, unplowed lake, traditional ditch racing, woods, and short course ski hill racing.
