Arctic Cat has named Brad Darling as vice president/general manager of the company’s snowmobile division, effective January 1, 2011. This is a new position as part of the company’s ongoing revision to its corporate structure.
In this role, Darling will be responsible to lead and grow the company’s snowmobile business, including identifying and developing new and differentiated products and services.
Darling brings many years of related experience to this position as he spent 10 years in the lawn and garden industry before joining Arctic Cat in May 2000 as a district sales manager. He was promoted to Canadian national sales manager in October 2004. He rebuilt Arctic Cat’s Canadian dealer network, raising the company to the No. 2 position in snowmobile market share while doubling the company’s ATV market share, according to a release from Arctic Cat.
Working with snowmobiles his entire life, Darling grew up in Canada and worked in a family dealership for more than 18 years, starting at the age of 7. He began racing at the age of 6 on an Arctic Cat Kitty Cat.
